That Thomas was b 10.11.1923 as per Aug 1986 death reg

There is no death post 1969 with a birthdate of 22.5.1926

Brian - unfortunately none of the info given in your reply helps to find him post 1939.  We need to know whether he married,  where he lived etc etc

He appears to have been their only child.  You incorrectly show father as Thomas Leonard Kendall in your reply.  He was Leonard Witlam Kendall

Thomas Edward Kendall b 22.5.1926 is with parents Leonard & Alice in Prestwich as per earlier replies.  His entry is visible suggesting he has died.  Therein lies the problem. 

Possible death in 1963 for his mother but a definite death in 1970 for his father.  No probate entry

I would suggest buying a copy of the 1970 death cert to see who reported the death but it may prove to be a waste of money if it was someone other than the son Thomas.

My only other theory is that he emigrated after 1970???

Leonard Witlam Kendall died on 22 Mar 1970 in Prestwich Manchester.

His will wasn't proved till 30 Mar 1981,suggesting some sort of problem with who he left the money to?

Thomas Edward Kendall DOB 22nd May 1926 died in Manchester on 02 Nov 2017 aged 91.
