hi, looking for the birth of john edwards born abt 1929-35 in maerdy(i think) im not sure but i think his father would have be david edwards i dont know what his mother was called

There are many Maerdy(s) but if you happen to mean the one between Ruthin and Corwen the birth would either be registered in Ruthin or possibly Bala. I would check with the local registrars and then search on 1837online.com before asking the appropriate registrar to try and find the birth. With such popular names however it would be helpful to have father's occupation. 

If you search on streetmap.co.uk for the place first you will see just how many Maerdy's there are in Wales.

many thanks for your help i didnt know there were a few maerdy(s) in wales , i was going on the one on my grandfathers birth cert which has (ystradyfodwg) under maerdy. i would say he was a miner like all of them in my family
