Thank you so much for this Capetown. I have joined the Gloucester Family History Society and I will now join the Forest of Dean society too.

I didn't have the transcripts but I did have a birth cert for my grandmother Mary Eleanor Wheeler. It is very interesting that they took Lilian back to Newham to have her baptised. My grandmother Mary Eleanor and grandfather married in Exeter in 1919 and ended back in Gloucester to have their first child Violet Margret Isabella Black. So they must have had close family still in the area. I always wondered who the Violet was that she was named after. The names Margaret and Isabella are the names of the women who adopted my grandfather in County Tyrone and Violet was baptised there in 1921.

Sadly George Francis Wheeler does in October 1911 in St Thomas Devonshire and Elizabeth and Lilian eventually went to Australia in 1925 where my grandmother's other siblings Muriel and Henry already lived.
