You may not be aware, but since your initial post 4 years ago, the website www.myheritage.com added something like 480 million French records to their database at the end of last year.
It has made searching for French ancestry so much easier.
You might like to have a look.
Lane, Burgess: Cheshire. Finney, Rogers, Gilman:Derbys
