We did find A Thomas George in 1939 but he has an I initial in his name so not 100% sure.

What was his date of birth? There is a Thomas G Bevan in Caerphilly on the 1939 register, and a death of a Thomas George Bevan in Ogwr in 1989. Both with births in 1914 (both in May but different days).
