Could somebody please help me with details from the 1901 census for Mary Jane Tucker born c 1851 & living in Devon, spouse William.  I think they married in Hampshire in 1894?

If you know Mary Jane's maiden name we could try checking for births on the General Register Office Index, find children's names and maybe track them that way.

Was the marriage in South Stoneham in 1894 if so a Mary J Tucker b 1848 Married is on 1901 census RG13/1063/12/16

Thanks both - I think the info I have been given eliminates Mary Jane Tucker.  The person I am looking for had the maiden name of MEAD & she was born Salisbury, Wiltshire 1848.  She married in 1869 Flatman, & he ran off with someone else. She disappears after 1871.

OK can see in 1881 a Mary J Flatman 1849 b Broad Chalke Married occ Domestic Servant visiting a Mead family in an Asylum in Portsea, Hampshire Census ref RG11/1145/102/1
