Likely to be about 1940.  The 2 NCOs are wearing the pre war tunics that were still in use in 1940 with brass shoulder titles and phased out that year.  The side caps were replaced circa 1943.

Yes, and no badges visible, newly issued perhaps.
Griffiths Llandogo, Mitcheltroy, Mon. and Whitchurch Here (Also Edwards),  18th C., Griffiths FoD 19th Century.

Hi Carol,

Referring to Ruskie's reply, yes most of the men are definitely Middlesex Regiment and the men with what looks like a star cap badge almost certainly RASC.

Hi, does anyone think it may possibly have a "Home Guard" connection? I'm not sure if it looks to be taken outside of a house, there is a mixture of ages as well.
