Thanks, that's very useful. I had neglected to mention my forays into the British Newspaper Archives and historical directories. You have found many of the records I have looked at. Now I will look out for Coleraine in Modern Times and The Bann Disc, and look into the Coleraine Historical Society. I'm not so familiar with the Valuation Revision Books, so will have a look at that too, and the school records on PRONI. Thanks for your help!

PRONI's catalogue is online but the school records will need to be searched in person.

Good to know -- I'll look at the indexes and then put that down on my list of things to look up in person at PRONI. The plan is starting to take shape!
