If you can give us a name, then I believe it is possible to look at Overseas Military births.
Transcriptions and NBI are merely finding aids.  They are NOT a substitute for original record entries.

The name was Edwin Faithorn born 1883.

His parents were William Martin Faithorn and Margaret Faithorn (nee Herr).

William Faithorn attested for 1st Dragoon Guards on 27 July 1871 and was discharged in December 1884.
