The link I gave you states that Ballymaguigan was part of Magherafelt Parish until 1990s.
It is quite close.

I think this is the one, maybe the information at Irish Ancestors (johngrenham.com) is based on the modern parish boundaries. That says that Ballymaguigan is in Artrea and Desertlin Catholic Parish.

On the first page of this baptism register, the townland is in the margin right after a baptism witnessed by a Mary Quin. It looks to me like the second half of the townland's name, the way the priest wrote it, starts with a Q. I will attach the image.
If so then I will settle for Ballymaquigan = Ballymaguigan.
Even if not,  at this point.  :)

The name 'as gaeilge' would have a 'c' sound at the end of Mhic.

If you look it up on logainm.ie you can see a c (q) sound was one of the early forms of Ballymaguigan.
