Renison...are you related to anyone named here so far?  Are you researching an ancestor?.         Who is the ancestor?

Hi again Rennison,
Are you aware that Minnie seems to have used a different name during some time around Bendigo and wider Victoria?

I do not wish to post information that you possibly already have, or which is not part of your search and possibly not what you want to know about the woman ;)

Others may think differently of course.

Sue

So we have Minnie recorded as Millie, aged 22 years by 3 Sep 1905 so born c1883.  Minnie Isobel was born 29 Apr 1883 and would have been aged 22 years in Sep 1905.

To many co-incidences not to be your Pearl.

Cando thank you so much for latest info from the Salvation home
re baby born to Milly.
Yes I think this will be my Minnie I am searching, with name change
of self and child.
Will it be possible to get a copy of birth certificate?
I now need to find her going to New Zealand, and follow her return to
Victoria. I cannot thank you enough for this search, it has been so helpful.

Hi Renison,
When you are ready, please look at my query here.
Are you aware....?

Sue thank you for recent post, yes I can now see where Minnie used different
names, ended up living with Albert Johnson and had another child Elsie Pearls
stepsister. Minnie must have been a resilient and determined woman, maybe
never finding total happiness after the loss of her first born.
  kind regards Renisonbell

Yes, I'm sure you are on the right track there.

In this news item in 1918, the surname used is BELL. You will need to read through to almost the end of the saga to identify her!

https://trove.nla.gov.au/newspaper/article/226808985

Possibly this is also her in 1914, but no name is given.

https://trove.nla.gov.au/newspaper/article/226857830

The story I know is Minnie mother named child Pearl Evelyn, went to N Zealand where
her 2 brothers lived,   seems to be on N Z electoral Bulla /Westport 1905/06, cant find her
1911.

The only sighting on the New Zealand  Electoral Roll in that year is one Minnie Louisa Davis at Lyndhurst Street Westport. Your woman, as we now know, is Minnie Isabella. The  Minnie Louisa is still in the Westport area in 1914 and quite possibly for years afterwards.

So the story about her going to NZ is still open to question in my opinion.
