hello friends
I intend to look for the UK 1901 census tomorrow, meantime, the 1911 census (and I am assuming I am barking up the right tree) indicates that Harry (then aged 19) was one of 8 siblings 2 of whom died prior to the 1911 census. Father & Mother Tom Benson Parker & Fanny Parker.
the Benson element of the name may indicate a grandmothers maiden name, something I have come across before in family research and 1 of the brothers has the middle name Fountain. Incidentally there is a brother John indicated on the census aged 13. it can only get worse!
the marriage certificate shows Tom Benson Parker to be Harry's father, they married in Maidenhead.
Dorothy was born on 30 May 1897.
the Canadian document headed Population 6th census of Canada 1921 Calgary includes the name Harry James, the only indication of the name James thus far age 26 and living at 1022 16th Avenue with Dorothy.
Harry's census age does not tie up with his marriage yet his marriage age ties up with the Canadian document.
