Sandra

There is a Lilian M Fox nee Fife born 1918 living in Kent...  could be her.  I'm not sure when they stopped updating the 1939 surnames..... at the rate she remarried, they could be another surname not listed.  :-\

hello friends

I intend to look for the UK 1901 census tomorrow, meantime, the 1911 census (and I am assuming I am barking up the right tree) indicates that Harry (then aged 19) was one of 8 siblings 2 of whom died prior to the 1911 census. Father & Mother Tom Benson Parker & Fanny Parker.

the Benson element of the name may indicate a grandmothers maiden name, something I have come across before in family research and 1 of the brothers has the middle name Fountain. Incidentally there is a brother John indicated on the census aged 13. it can only get worse!

the marriage certificate shows Tom Benson Parker to be Harry's father, they married in Maidenhead.

Dorothy was born on 30 May 1897.

the Canadian document headed Population 6th census of Canada 1921 Calgary includes the name Harry James, the only indication of the name James thus far age 26 and living at 1022 16th Avenue with Dorothy.

Harry's census age does not tie up with his marriage yet his marriage age ties up with the Canadian document.

Check the 1939 Register for Orpington Kent and you will find who you are looking for. The birth date fits exactly. Do Harry and Dorothy were still in the UK.
The information we have given as regards daughter Lilian is correct, the other one Dorothy M Parker born in 1916 we haven't found yet.
Perhaps if you purchase her birth certificate, an exact date might help find her.

The couple on the 1921 Canadian census in Calgary is sadly not your Harry and Dorothy Parker.

1939 Register entry - don't forget that there is a name (No: 3 in the household) that is not available to view.  It is possible that that person is an older sibling of Lilian.  :-\
Transcriptions and NBI are merely finding aids.  They are NOT a substitute for original record entries.
