Parents of Henry Ryder born c.1842 Nottinghamshire

Many thanks larkspur and trish for all the information you have found which I've read several times to try and get my head around the relationships

GRO index for Radford Union shows Elizabeth (1839) and Henry (1842) without their mother's maiden name which suggests they could be sister and brother.   

Albert Dennet m Ann Ryder in 1850, long after the birth of Elizabeth and Henry and 1851 shows Ann as the mother of Elizabeth and Henry.

1861 records Ann Dennit (nee Ryder) as widow and housekeeper but her relationship to George Royder (Ryder?) who is two years older is unclear.

Trish thinks Henry Ryder (not John) may have lied about his father on the marriage certificate and if so Henry's father remains unknown?   Or have I missed the obvious?

Trish - I'm doing this research for a friend who would love to know more about the Ryder family.  You mention George's marriage but I'm unclear where George fits into the family tree

George Ryder was Ann Ryder's Father and her Mother Ann.
It appears 1841 Census George was not at Home;

1851 Census Ann Dennet/t nee Ryder is down as Georges Daughter and his Housekeeper. George is Widowed.

So to summarise I think;
George Ryder/Ann Gee are Ann Ryders Parents (Baptism/Census confirm this)
Ann had 2 illeg Children Elizabeth/Henry
She then married Albert Dennet (cant find a anything more if him other than 1851 Census)

Back to the 1861 Census if you look at it Ann Dennit has;
DAUG**, Widow, 39, Housekeeper, born Brampton

This is confirmed by the Bapt I found for her.

Also Georges age is unclear in 1861 Census and has a line through it!!!

GEORGE Ryder is still alive in 1881 Census living in Staffordshire born c 1800 Chesterfield, Derbyshire.

FreeREG has his Baptism 1800 and Parents Marriage 1788

George remarried 1865 Notts to Mary Ann WHITING but she died before 1881 Census.

1871 she is born Hull, Lincolnshire, something mixed up there I think.

JOHN Ryders Bapt is on FreeREG 1798 Derbyshire with same Parents as George, so a Brother.
I cant find anything for Charles

CHARLES Ryder age 6 in 1841 Census is the Son of GEORGE/ANN christened  16 Nov 1834 Lenton, Notts

THOMAS Ryder (Anns Brother) married twice;
26 Aug 1849 Crich, Derbys, Father as George etc.
Explains Grandchildren with George in 1861 Census who belong to Thomas.
