:P Ok, Sorry to have been so thick and blind; kept concentrating on Samuel senior born 1738 married Mary Pitt; while forgetting to check his sons including the other Samuel junior born 1769, died 1834 and left his money to his nephew Edwin.
Thanks for helping me clear up my mind.
David

Checking again, and unable to find any other record than:-
Samuel Withers baptized 13 Oct 1738 at St Martins; married Mary Pitt 3 Dec 1761 at St Martins;
Children:
Edward Weston born 1762
John born 1764
William born 1767
Samuel born 1769 - may be the one who married Elizabeth no surname about 1800-1804 and had one or two children both named Sarah (Family Search); one baptized in 1804 the other in 1805 but second girl died 6 Nov 1807. This Samuel buried 13 May 1834 same year as his father Samuel who died 2 Jun 1834 aged c95.
Mary Pitt Withers born 1772

Or am I still up the wop?

How do you know Samuel senior died 1834?
Junior is recorded in newspaper that year.

I would have thought Samuel senior was the 19 Feb 1820 burial, 81 years old, Edgbasron, and recorded as Samuel Withers senr

Thank you for those snippets.
I think the 1834 death of Samuel Senior I found in FamilySearch
Much prefer a newspaper reference; would you mind letting me know which Newspaper, please?
And thanks for spotting the burial of Mary Pitt - which newspaper was that?
Much appreciated

The 1820 burial of Samuel senior and the 1807 one for Mary are both in the parish registers on Ancestry.

The newspaper record  for Samuel junior is
12 May 1834 - Aris's Birmingham Gazette - Birmingham

And reads “on Wednesday, Samuel Withers, Gent, of Islington”

this is NOT the date of death of anyone, but the date of the probate of the Will we have agreed is Samuel juniors,
