Henry Grainger and Margaret Granger and John Thomas Granger and Joshua Granger

Hi Everyone, I wonder if you can help me.

I am looking for...
Birth certificates for Henry, Margaret, John Thomas and Joshua.
Marriage certificates for Henry and Margaret.

Henry Grainger/Granger married to Margaret Granger. Both born before 1828. They were born in England as they had a son Joshua born in Leeds, UK and another son John Thomas Granger born in Durban, South Africa, where the whole family settled. (Henry has signed his son’s marriage certificate as Grainger but his family are all Grangers)

I have searched on quite a few websites but have decided to post on forums for a bit more help.

I don’t know when Henry and Margaret were married but can only assume it was before the birth of their 1st child Joshua in 1846 and assume it’s in the UK as he was born in Leeds.

- Joshua born 1846 to Aug 1894
- Married Margaret Granger (Burns), born 1849, Isle Of Wight, UK, Died 21 Jul 1914 in Durban (found marriage certificate)
- Had 7 children (we have found all their baptism records)
- buried in Wesleyan Burial Ground in Durban

John Thomas Granger
- Born October 1850 in Durban and Died 10 September 1930 at 79 years and 11 months
- Married 30 April 1875 at 24 years old (found marriage certificate)
- Married Lydia Granger (Cheetham), Born 1846, Died 25 June 1946 at 95 years and 10 months, Died in Durban, South Africa
- Had 7 children (can’t find any baptism/birth records)
- Buried at St Emmanuel Catholic Cathedral Durban

I can’t see a marriage on FreeBMD for a Henry to a Margaret.

The child could have been born out of wedlock and be registered under mother’s name.

Do you not have death certs for Henry and Margaret?

Where did Joshua's birthplace of Leeds come from?

Was his birth year 1846 or 1848?  Both dates are mentioned.

For anyone trying to help the estate files give John Thomas Grangers birth as c1851.
He died 10 September 1930 age 79 years 11 months
