John Richard Chambers ( b circa 1813)
« on: Wednesday 28 November 18 19:47 GMT (UK) »
I'd be grateful if anyone could find the above gentleman in the 1841 and 1851 censuses. He was a Wesleyan minister, but would have been born in London. Due to the fact he was a Wesleyan minister, he might be anywhere in North Wales.

Thank you, but its the regarding the previous two censuses that seems elusive. 1851 suggests Llanrwst or Dolgellau, but I can't find him in either place.

Ah - so that's why I couldn't find him. He was a minister in Liverpool in the 1860s as well. I didn't realise he'd been there previously. Thank you very much indeed.

Thank you for your guidance- he certainly believed in giving his children exotic names. He moved, without his family, as a minister to Llandysul in the mid 1860s and died there. He is buried with his grandfather's family in Lampeter, but his wife was buried 20 years later in Liverpool, as there was not enough money to move either body.
