I’m rather surprised that this record was actually transcribed at all or, at least, without a note.  It reads -

“Banns of marriage were published in this chapel between Edward Morton of St. John’s and Eliz. Stark of this parish November 21st 1756 by Jeffrey Clarkson Curate”

Then the whole thing is crossed out!

So it looks like November 21st was going to be the first calling of the banns but, for some reason, the event was cancelled.
