Hi Keyboard.
I have found on Family Search a John Evans marrying an Elizabeth Jones on 2nd May 1819 in Wales, UK. Is there a way to find where in Wales ?
Dunn - Scottish borders. Williams & Lewis - Selattyn Shropshire. Clarke - Frodsham Cheshire.
Mumford - London. Jones & Evans - Llanbeblig Caernarvon.

The marriage bond is on - http://discover.library.wales/primo_library/libweb/action/search.do?vid=44WHELF_NLW_VU1
Evans, John, bach., Newtown, Montgomeryshire to Jones, Elizabeth, sp., Newtown, Montgomeryshire : 1819 May 2.

Presumably, the marriage was the one on 4th May.

There are Llanbeblig records available on www.freereg.org.uk.
However,I think it would be of benefit if you subscribed to www.yffor.com for a month(£5).There is more often more detail in these records(abode/profession).
Neither of these databases,I think, support your opening statement, which looks like an assumption from the 1841 census.

Roger

Thanks David & Roger.
As it's Montgomeryshire I am sure that is not my John Evans.
I am only assuming that that his wife's mmn is Jones vis a possible hit for Eliza's birth and the people in the 1841 census but could be wrong and it's not Jones as Roger said.
I really need to get the LLanbeblig parish records so I can find the children baptisms for the mothers mmn.

There is a consistency in the FreeReg records for a John (1821) and Jane (1824) being born to a John Evans and Letitia. The latter sometimes has the variant Lettice, but I’m not aware of it being so for Elizabeth (which is not to say it never is!)

Roger .
Have now followed up Letitia /Lettice and found on Family search trees Letitia was his first wife and she died in 1833 (have to check this) and he remarried an Elizabeth ( my GGG grandmother ?) in Llanbeblig but when and what was her maiden name . Hope he didn't remarry again before  1843 !
