Richard Mackie - General Merchant

Hi All,

I was wondering if anyone had any information on Richard MACKIE (also referred to as Richardson Mackie), who was a general merchant in Kemnay.  I am interested in knowing more about his business, as I have some newspaper clippings for family marriages that refer to him as being well known (when his grand-daughters were getting married, the announcements in the papers had that he was their grandfather).  I am guessing that he was a well known figure in the community - but would like to know more than just 'BMD' information.  Anyone have any ideas?  he was born around 1852, and died in 1925.
