He was married in a Presbyterian church, however I can’t guarantee that he was Presbyterian (since that was the first church in Invercargill, so not many options at that time).

Yes, those were George and Annie’s children. The boys didn’t survive childhood (John died age 6, Arthur as an infant), and George’s probate states Annie was widowed with the 5 girls ranging from 15 down to 5). Amelia was my great grandmother (and if naming patterns are useful, her children were Blanche, Sylvia, and Norman Percy).

The name Amelia likely comes from Annie’s side (her mother and grandmother were both Amelia), but I can’t see any Blanche’s on her side. John is also likely to be Annie’s side (father, grandfather, great grandfather were all named John), but can’t see any Arthur’s on her side

Oh, and yes, I did forget to note that he was a dairy farmer at the time of death

To me the names of George's children look like typical common Victorian era names and are unlikely to help find his family.

This might not be your family but posting just in case there later turns out to be some sort of connection.
Kilrea National School registers-
1873 Jane Crow, age 4, Established Church (Church of Ireland), father- gardener
1874 Mary Ann Crowe, age 6, Established Church, father- labourer

Elizabeth Jane Crow, parents George & Elizabeth (nee Campbell), born 27 Feb.1870, father- servant-

Sister Anna born 18 Dec.1867

Brother James born 2 May 1872

An Elizabeth Crowe, age 27, died 1874 Ballymoney district (certificate not yet online)- wonder if she could be the Elizabeth Campbell married to George Crowe?
Away sorting out DNA matches... I may be gone for some time many years!
