Who are the actual parents of Doris Joyce Cox Tranter?

it seems mother Julia died around the time of Doris Joyce's birth

1911 I do not think Doris Joyce is described as stepdaughter - to me it looks like bap daughter -maybe it meant she was baptised as Herbert John Cox and Mary A Tate's daughter??? or it could be short for adopted daughter
It does seem as her mother died during/shortly after the birth of Doris Joyce and the child went to live with family who had no children???

I've just looked up Herbert John's sister Julia but she was born Julia Lizzie Cox around 1867 and died on 30 March 1938 at the Infirmary, Kidderminster.

Will look for another Julia as she may be a cousin?

That's great that you've found the more detailed probate as I've found the one under Cox but it tells me to look under Tranter, the latter I was struggling to find.

Now got to find out which Julia Cox... see if she was related to Herbert John Cox...

It's interesting to note that Herbert John Cox's wife Mary Ann Tate (1869 - 27 July 1914) was the younger sister of Martha Ellen Tate (1855 - 1926) who married Herbert John Cox's Uncle Caleb Cox, younger brother of  Thomas Cox (10 July 1838 - 30 April 1902)!
