Found his marriage, this will help with when he was born etc.

Married at Boroughbridge 26 January 1892
Samuel, 26, widower, miner of Methley, son of Edward Harrison, miner
Sarah Martha Dean, spinster of Borobridge, 24, dau of Samuel Dean (deceased), mason
Witnesses: Ann Amelia Dean & Charles Frederick Dean

I can’t see this record, but presumably the bridegroom is Benjamin rather than Samuel?

Added: now found, and he is indeed Benjamin

Yes sorry I was trying to transcribe it so I could delete the photo and a combination of the wine and trying to remember what I'd read before I switched back to typing the message meant I scrambled bride's father's name and groom's name - apologies for confusion!

:) Thank you to everyone who has commented, or even racked their brains, on this one. I feel so much happier about the outcome. Perhaps I should be less nervous about posting in the first place.  :)

Don't be nervous! I've had some fantastic help on here about things I'm clueless... Eg. army stuff... But like a lot of people on here, I'm equally happy to help others with things I can.
