Recognizing three words from a Swiss relative
« on: Wednesday 26 December 18 22:32 GMT (UK) »
This document is a letter from a distant Swiss relative written in 1992. He is telling me about the early life of a mutual relative who lived and work in Switzerland from around the late 1800s into the early 1900s.

There are three words that I can not make out. The first word is in the sentence: "and the secondary school in _____________"

The second and third words are in the lower sentence: "...in Bern and he worked in the firm ____ & ____ from 1896 - 1902"

Thanks for your help.

Hi Melvin

The first word is in the sentence: "and the secondary school in Thurnen"

"...in Bern and he worked in the firm Stucker & Zesiger from 1896 - 1902"

Maybe you can find more information about this firm in the city directories of Bern
https://www.digibern.ch/katalog/adressbuch-der-stadt-bern

or in the Intelligenzblatt für die Stadt Bern
http://intelligenzblatt.unibe.ch/Default/Skins/BernA/Client.asp?Skin=BernA&AppName=2&AW=1545865076726

or in the Schweizerisches Handelsamtsblatt
https://www.e-periodica.ch/

Regards
Svenja
