I've just read the will in a bit more detail and find that Robert married Elizabeth Lyle after Catherine died.

I find that the marriage took place on 3rd June 1856, Heriot at Warriston, Edinburgh.Will send the cert.

Yes there are many but mainly to do with property sales/ legal matters. Nothing about Lilias or family.

Robert's age is given as 57 and his parents are  given as Alex Lamond, merchant and Elizabeth Allen.

Still nothing definite about Lilias.
