So they are both there  :D William is down as Aitchinson.

I'd looked for Elswick on the Family Search Catalogue and couldn't see it  :-[

I see now that it is down as Elswick records 1930 - 1998. If I had delved deeper I would have discovered that it actually contains grave registers dating from 1858  >:(

Quite right - it has the registers but not the name indexes for the appropriate years.

As an aside, this death announcement illustrates the sheer frustration in searching the newspaper database.

I tried the name, zilch
I tried the first name and put Sarah in the What else? box and restricted it to April 1902 in the Chronicle (which if I hadn't found it would have been followed by May then June)

I got 3 results in April - all gobbledegook, so I looked at the pages, just in case. The third one was what I wanted.
The gobbldegook said:

meters. Neveratala, lilt 2 p.m. prompt. Al: trims& kindly ...Fed. ArlltON.-Datesbrod. 39, Hewitt Street. demi. Mimed timbal of Sarah (Atrium laccidental.y kLIm m Tuesday, April 15thl late /mot at Knock Cemetery Stulday, 20th : it 2 precept. Friend. Mose acmpt

never any wonder my hair is grey!

Whoa!  What a lot has been discovered since I last looked at this thread!  Didn't expect all that in the interim. :D. Amazing!

Well, I have to agree Boo .. you are one amazing firkler!! :D

I see from Jon's post showing they are both in the grave that William's burial was 12/s. I wonder if this higher cost might mean that there could be a grave stone.  I don't know how I managed to miss him yesterday but I was planning to double check.

I think Navarrom is going to be so pleased to see all this extra you have been able to find yesterday via  Familysearch and the notice.  Great team work! :D
