Elizabeth Ellen and Samuel HILL. where in 1911?
« on: Thursday 03 January 19 10:01 GMT (UK) »
I have a marriage (freely available on Medway CityArk)

https://cityark.medway.gov.uk/wwwopacx/wwwopac.ashx?command=getcontent&server=files&value=P085-01-70(1).pdf

9th December 1905, Parish Church, St Mary, Chatham, Kent
Samuel HILL 36, Bachelor, Shipwright, 19 Nelson Road, Chatham, John HILL Deceased, Boot & Shoe maker
Elizabeth Ellen HOOPER 34, Widow, Domestic Servant, Manor Farm, Frindsbury, William MARSHALL, Diver.  (under widow is written "one")
Witnesses Frederick and Zillah OSSELTON  (Frederick is another Shipwright, and he and Zillah are in Chatham in 1911)

The HILL MARSHALL combo on Birth registrations is unfortunately rather common, but there are none in Kent or Hampshire which are the two areas I would expect to find this couple.
The daughter Elizabeth Ellen had to her first husband died in 1904, so can't search using her.
I cannot find them in 1911. I've checked the Nelson Road address.
I cannot find a death that fits Elizabeth.
Did they emigrate?
If Elizabeth Ellen is the person I think she is, her father was John Marshall, not William, so I am wondering if Samuel's father was William Hill, not John. This is the only fly in the ointment on this certificate
