Arthur George is 30 at marriage in 1918
So b about 1888.
So, I don’t think that 1939 you have posted can be correct at all.
Too many things wrong,

Mind you 1918 - 21 doesn’t exactly give Violets correct year of birth either!

So was her father when he wasn't working, he died of a heart attack when out fishing.

Says accountant on the 1918 marriage cert.

Yes, there is more than one George M in the area one is a solicitor the other, the one that died in 1918 worked for A Weir and Co Ltd Auctioneers Stanbane, his death cert George Miller Elliott give his occupation as Clerk.
He was also known as a fine musician and was involved in all local choral societies.
Sounds like the correct George M

It looks as though the puzzle is solved re Violet’s marriage.

The 1939 register find can also be discounted.

There is a marriage in 1918 in Yarmouth.
Violet M Basing and Arthur Williams.

There is then a birth in 1920 in Yarmouth.

Minnie R Williams mmn Basing.

Heywood

Yes, Heywood and all, I think this is resolved. I can discount the original 1939 Register. All the info re 2nd marriage checks out. Her first marriage in 1918 Derry Cathedral to Arthur Geo Williams is secure.  Haven't found a death, but now I have the 2nd marriage date that will cut out a few Arthur Georges to trawl thro  ;D
Many thanks
