Just need to see fathers name on marriage to be certain I think.

There is no way to see details of the Marriage Certificate; you have to buy a copy

So your only way is to find the Parish Register entry.
For that you need to know the church, and hope it's a C of E marriage!
Catholic and Non-Conformist records aren't so freely available.

And, of course, it may have been a Registry Office wedding?

Yes, all I know is Aylestone.

I don’t know Leicester so have no idea
