Sandra,

What on earth can I say, totally in awe with all of this information. Thank you very, very, very much.

There is one little thing that is a bit worrying is that in my original message I did not put Sarah's middle name in which is Sarah Ann PITTOCK.

In your second message about Charles marrying Mary A, you have the parents names ass James and Sarah J.

I really am sorry if you have done all that for nothing. I will hang my head in shame.

Hi

I've just found a possible death in Roscommon, Westmeath for Sarah Ann(e), which might fit with James's army service:

1873 Sarah Anne Judge, aged 41, Athlone, Q2, Vol 8, page 1

The full cert is not showing on the Irish genealogy site but here's a link to the entry

You might have to go through the captcha test to see it!

There seems to be some refs to the Brigade being in Ireland circa 1873:

Hi Gadget,

Thank you very much for that. Between you, you have given me lots to have a look at and digest.

I am a member of Find my past, but when I have tried entering Sarah's details, I do not get that back Hmmmm.

Appreciated very much.

Sandra did all the family work  :)

I just saw that you'd corrected her name to Sarah Ann, so did a search on that with her birth year +/- and searched World records for a death 1876 +/- 5.

I was expecting a death in India, if anywhere, but the Irish one came up and that clicked with some of my family's service records.  I then checked the Irish site.
