A try from me with some colour. Very tough one indeed to remove grain and retain the facial features and light effects. Anyway another couple of options for you if you like them...

Good quality size scans will mean much better restores >> hint hint :-)

Some wonderful restorations here, I cannot see the one submitted by Russell, but the rest are really good. I have to admit I tried, but I gave up on this one after a few attempts. Well done everybody.
