Mulligan or Milligan married to Hillis
« on: Thursday 31 January 19 13:07 GMT (UK) »
Im trying to find anything on Milligan family from Galway, some of whom moved from Galway to Glasgow mid 1800's. My 3 x great grandfather was William Milligan or Mulligan who married Sarah Ann Hillis in Glasgow .
Ive been told that my mother travelled to Galway for family events in 1950's.

Give a man a record and you feed him for a day.
Teach a man to research, and you feed him for a lifetime.

The spouse was named Sarah Ann Hillis and her parents listed as Joseph Hillis and Jane McDowell.
