Hello  i have just come across a marriage record

William Smith to a Charlotte Smith, 3rd August 1806 , Howell Lincolnshire , Gypsies

Just wondered if this could be Rosetta Smith's parents ,if so any ideas please who Charlotte Smith's parents could be.

I am also interested in Thomas Sherriff born 1834 son of Thomas Smith / Sherriff and Sophia Twiddy if anyone has any info on him it would be very much appreciated.

William Smith was baptised on Sunday 22nd January, 1815 at St Marys at South Kyme, Lincolnshire
The father was James Smith and the mothers name was Unity. Fther was a Traveling Gipsy.

Possibly the men were all related and of the same generation? (Find My Past)

So this is my first ever comment. I chose this thread because A I'm from Lincolnshire originally and we've just managed to Link our ancestry tree to a Wilson Smith.. with a newspaper article about his death in 1839 saying he was king of the Gypsies?
Does this ring any bells 🤔. PS I'm very rusty at forums ... My last foray being in 2004 when we started our move to NZ 😆

Could Wilson be a corruption of Wisdom I wonder.
