The George Passfield who died 1867 registration Braintree, married Hannah, they lived their entire lives in Wethersfield which would come under Braintree registration see census.

Margretting/Ingatestone come under Chelmsford.

That’s what happens when you believe a family tree on Ancestry. They have got the George’s mixed up. I did wonder as I had two dates for his birth. Now I can get rid of this one. Trouble is loads of them come from this area and they used all the same names over and over. Wethersfield is def not our area. Ours are all Ingatestone or Margaretting so far.

Thank you again.

Phillip penny and Sarah green married margaretting 1782.

Banns called end Nov 1782. Married end December 1782. First baby baptised 24 Jan 1783.

Couldn’t findsarah in ingatestone or margaretting. Found a Phillip penny baptised end 1764 to John and Elisabeth. Although he’d be young, baby on the way ...

There’s a Sarah green born of Michael and Ann green in writtle. Baptised 20 April 1760.

Have just returned to Rootschat after a short break and see posts about Passfield/Pasfield from Ingatestone and Margetting.
My Pasfield family is from Ingatestone and Writtle c 1750-1830 and over the years I have found that sometimes they are transcribed with one s, sometimes ss.
Could you PM me if you are interested in comparing families?

Thank you everyone for your help. I still  need some help, if possible, to find birth details, parents and siblings of George Pasfield born abt 1795.

I’ve tried but don’t seem to be getting anywhere.

Thank you.
