Based on my research and from a conversation many years ago with James' daughter there were only two children in the family.

Hi  :)

One ore child showing for Thomas and Mary:

Ann Cunningham b. 26 Aug 1858 in High Church Paisley
Father's Name    Thomas Cunningham
Mother's Name    Mary Lamont

Maybe she died young if you haven't found her on censuses with the family.

Monica

Added: Ann looks to have died as a baby in 1858. Death showing on SP that year with mother's maiden name of Lamont.

Monica thanks for that - fascinating information. I wasn't aware this information was online. How do I find it. Not sure if this is my ancestor as I am working from the attached which mentions a Police Court (I was assuming Paisley Police Court) rather than Glasgow High Court. I'm going to NRS in Edinburgh tomorrow to look at Prison Records; does the fact the location given above is "on site" mean it doesn't have to be pre-ordered?

I believe so.
Never trust anything you find online (especially submitted trees and transcriptions on Ancestry, MyHeritage, FindMyPast and other commercial web sites) unless it's an image of an original document - and even then be wary because errors can and do occur.

Maybe a good idea to have a look at the NRS web site and see what it says about that, actually. You can order things in advance so they are to hand when you get there.

Hi Monica was in Edinburgh today. This isn't mine. My relation was in prison at the date of the offence ;D
