Hi Sarah,

I've had a look and can't see them anywhere on the 1901 unless their name has been badly transcribed, could they have emigrated?

I don't know if you have this but Freebmd has a death for a Walter Ashbridge aged 1 in Hull in 1897, maybe a son of your Walter.

good luck

Just a thought - he was a ship's cabin boy on the 1891 census so maybe at sea in 1901?? - or could well have emigrated as Bee suggests. Do you know Mary's maiden name - just a long shot she may be with her family :-\

Still can't find this family at all anywhere in 1901.  :(

driving me nuts.

i was wondering if it is possible to do a lookup on place of birth.

Mary ann HART was born in NZ????? can you look up by place of birth? (can't be too many mary HART/ASHBRIDGES born in nz in 1901 census...)

just grasping at straws here really.

i am assuming they will be in Hull, or possibly london.

does anyone have any suggestions on what i can do to find this family?

Help greatly appreciated.  :-\
