I would appreciate any children born to Charles Hunt and Rachael HAYCROFT in the Warborough, Oxfordshire area, I am led to believe there are eight children

Charles and Rachael married in Warborough, Oxfordshire March 10, 1855

Thank you on advance.

Cienna.

I've found some of the baptisms, and one possible 'extra' daughter.

Rebekah Keziah        22 May 1859        Warborough
Clara Maria              10 Feb 1861                 "
Mary Kate                24 Aug 1862                 "     (not found on FreeBMD/GRO)
William Thomas         7 Aug 1864                 "

Alfred Edwin             27 June 1875        Littlemore    (born 20 March)

No baptisms found yet for Louisa Ellen, Emily Elizabeth, or Beatrice Harriet.

More baptisms :)

Louisa Helen          3 May 1868        Cholsey     (born 26 Feb)
Emily Elizabeth      6 April 1870            "          (born 11 Jan)
Beatrice Harriet      3 Sep 1871             "          (born 21 June)

Cholsey transcripts are available on CD from Oxfordshire Family History Society.  Warborough and Littlemore records are on Ancestry, with images of the parish registers.

You can see that some of the registered names are slightly different from the baptismal names.

Charles was described as a labourer on all baptisms except the last (Alfred Edwin) where he is a shepherd.

I don't know where to find records for the Channel Islands, but Frederick brings the total to nine children for this couple.

Hope this helps,
Carol

Just found the Jersey baptism records on Ancestry ;D

Frederick Charles        3 May 1857        St Helier     (born 5 March)

Parents - Charles Hunt labourer and Rachel Haycroft his wife - the said father and mother sponsors.

So that's the full set of baptisms!

You are quite right it does say Jersey.  I really do need to get my eyes tested as I did look at the original I thought it was St Helier nr Merton (Surrey)  ;D

Crikey, I didn't even know the Surrey one existed - just assumed it was a normal transcription error!

(Off topic - my eyes were tested about a year ago because I couldn't read big shelf-edge price tickets a metre away.  Two cataracts :o  I had no idea.  Both fixed now, easy job, well worth doing!)
