Henry Murphy of Cavan
« on: Sunday 24 February 19 16:53 GMT (UK) »
HI Everyone

I am looking for the baptism of Francis Murphy approx 1830 and his sister Margaret approx 1835 and possibly others to Henry Murphy in Co Cavan.

The family later moved to Co Monaghan (Currin parish) where my great grandmother Susan Murphy was born in 1862 (to Francis and Mary Anne (née Nugent or Gilsenan)

Margaret married James Mcentee in 1868 and lived in Cootehill area.
And also anything on Henry himself too.
Allgood, Stokoe, Harland, Downey, Minehan, King, Watts, Stanton, McCarthy, Sullivan, Murray, Mawston, Murphy, Tyson, Salton, Marshall, Bulmer, Garnet, Bowser, Pemberton, Alderman, Shuckburgh, Addison, Sedman, Duck, Ellis, Hart, Richardson, Coverdale and Green amongst others

I'm wondering if there is a mix up in dates and names here

There is a baptism of a Susanna (Susan) MURPHY
d/o Francis MURPHY and Mary Anne WILSON
on May 01 1862 in Drummully- Currin, Co. Monaghan
The sponsors are James McENTEE & Margaret McENTEE
LINK on bottom right of page - difficult to read

Which if correct is six years before the suggested MURPHY/McENTEE marriage in 1868

Francis MURPHY and Mary Anne WILSON also had a daughter Sarah baptised on Apr 01 1860
Kearney & Bourke/ Johns & Fox/ Mannion & Finan/ Donohoe & Curley
Byrne [Carthy], Keeffe/ Germaine, Butler/ McDermott, Giblin/ Lally, Dolan
Toole, Doran; Dowling, Grogan/ Reilly, Burke; Warren, Kidd [Lawless]/ Smith, Scally; Mangan, Rodgers/ Fahy, Calday; Staunton, Miller
Further generations:
Brophy Coleman Eathorn(e) Fahy Fitzpatrick Geraghty Haverty Keane Keogh Nowlan Rowe Walder
