Rossie Mills

Would Rossie Mills be a weaving mill in Dundee Basin?  I have an article dated 1849 and it mentions Rossie Mills.  Just curious to know, couldn't find anything on Google.

Would Rossie Mills be a weaving mill in Dundee Basin?
What do you mean by 'Dundee Basin'? Where does the article appear?

The Rossie Mills that people have found are at Rossie in the parish of Craig, which is just south of Montrose and not by any stretch of the imagination near Dundee (in mid-19th century terms).

According to the article, my ggg grandfather got himself into trouble up the Basin opposite Rossie Mills, the little boat the young men were on, got stuck in the mud.  So wondered where this was?

Reason being I am trying to track William before his marriage in 1850 in Jamesfield.  One of the young men on the boat with him I strongly believe was his soon to be wife's brother.
William just can not be traced apart from his marriage and the 1851 census.  Even though the family bible says his date of birth in Dundee and presumed parents I just can not find anything.  Even the death certificate states parents names, and still nothing with Scotland's People, or any other site.
I have contacted Dundee archives ,and they had no luck either.
So just wondered where or what Rossie Mill was, and must be by a Basin or river for the boys to get stuck in mud.
I have posted on here regarding My William Lyall before, sadly no one could help.

The basin mentioned would be Montrose Basin

.That sounds more like the Montrose Basin, which is right below Rossie Mills.

Where did the article come from? What newspaper, and what date?

Published: Wednesday 25 April 1849
Newspaper: Dundee Courier.
Accident:- John Miln and W.Lyall

Also an article regarding William's daughter's marriage was published in Dundee, all living in New Zealand, so there must of been family still there.  His wife's family were from Perthshire.

Thanks
