I think it may be Mürwik Naval School (Marineschule Mürwik) in Germany.

Looking at images, the windows and the designs around the upper windows look the same - I haven't found the exact angle yet though

Glad you were able to join the party Jool  ;D That's really interesting, it's on the coast too....thanks so much for taking the time to look, great find  :D

From Wiki:

It is located at Mürwik which is a part of Germany's northernmost city, Flensburg. Built on a small hill directly by the coast, it overlooks the Flensburg Fjord.

It certainly looks like it (even down to the slop of the ground as mentioned early in this thread). How on earth did you work that out?

I think you're spot on!  The brickwork is the same with those cream bricks inset into the red brick and the Windows are the same too. Well done!  I wonder how the family was connected to a German Naval College

I was looking at Lieutenant Ralph Ord's brother, Lieutenant Commander Rupert George William Ord.  I found UK Navy records for him on Ancestry and the archive name was "Marineschule Mürwik" so I googled it and up it popped  ;D

Brilliant bit of detective work (and what a clever boy that Skoosh is too).
