Information about James Wainford
« on: Wednesday 06 March 19 15:48 GMT (UK) »
I am searching for a James Wainford born in Norfolk (Guiltcross?) in c1800.   In 1819 James fathered an illegitimate son on Rebecca Lynes.   (This son took his mother's surname).  Any information about James W, parents, wife, children, job, (Husbandry, I think!) would be very gratefully received. Thank you in advance.

Hi, am I missing something important here?  I cannot see what the topic subject has to do with the query!

Sorry belatedly welcome to rootschat.

I think I would click the report to moderator button and ask someone to change the original title which is still showing for me.  It might put people off from looking to see what you need help with, but on the other hand it is so intriguing that it might attract one and all.

Yes, I am the same person.  I haven't been on here for years and am wondering if there might be a newer poster who might be able to shed some light on this still illusive rellie!   The site seems to have changed quite a bit, hence my lack of competence!

Hi Liz,

I have altered the heading as you requested.

No there have been no changes to our website since you last logged in with your other profile. Why did you not sign in with your other profile have you forgotten your password ? It is better to carry on with your other profile really as you have over 140 posts all with notifications of new replies.

Thanks Sarah.   I seemed to have so much trouble trying to get back onto the site after being off for so long that I decided to 'start again '.  Sorry to have made a mess of it!. I've now made a proper note of my password etc, so hopefully will be ok!!

Hi Liz,

If you forget your password you can request a new one by clicking on the "forgotten password" button below the log in button or you can click on "contact support" the red button for help in any other way.

I am best to merge your new profile into your old profile, I will then edit the email address and send you a new password, is that ok ?

Regards

Sarah
