Where did you get this address from? (eg census? certificate?)

That's a good find Pat. 1922 - a lot later than I was looking for on old maps.  :-\
I was hoping it was a census address to give a searching starting point.

Added: So this is an address in which town/city?

Lots of addresses/people for Pawson's Yard in 1920's/1930 ER's in KnaresBorough.

The OP must have meant that Pawson's Yard was in County of York rather that the City of York.  :)

Maybe Pawson's Yard is/was one of the lanes that ran off the Market Place? I can't find a map detailed enough to name them ....
