On my first visit to Logierait I found a family grave with the following on it: Peter Glen 5th Black Watch who was killed in active service in Tunisia 9th May 1943 aged 29 years.I have had a look at the 1939-45 plaque on the nearby Ballinluig War Memorial and he is not mentioned. I wasn't looking for this one - I was looking for Soutar's stone but didn't find it!

Thankyou all - I've taken up the suggestion and contacted the minister. As I live a long way from Logierait he might take pity on me and send a photo!

He will hopefully be able to tell you exactly where plot 67 is in the graveyard so you can find it on your next visit. Even if there is no headstone or it is worn away at least you will know where it is.

Please let us know how you get on.

If you would like a photograph taken of the grave you can always put up a request, I have taken lots of photographs for RootsChatters over the years :)

Regards

Sarah

I'm going round in circles trying to get into the previous post about this war grave - I just wanted to say that the minister never replied to my email asking if he knew where this war grave is situated in the cemetery. I went back to Logierait a few days ago and found it - it was a family grave. Thanks to all those who helped.
