Ann Eliza Sheldon seems to remarry to Thomas Fawcett on 26 March 1883 (Leeds) claiming to be a 32 yr old spinster daughter of Benjamin “Sheldon”, waterman.  When she had married in 1872, her father was named as Benjamin Firbank, waterman.

Thomas and Annie E Fawcett have Eliza A “Fawcett”, 13 b Horbury, with them in 1891: RG12/3683/107/18.

Thank you, now I know not to bother following her after Samuel has gone  ;D

I don't have the death cert, I found the record online. I'm not entirely sure it's the right one though.

Coming back to this thread. Still looking for Samuel Sheldon.

I have found a record for immigration to the US that has him on the SS Lord Gough in 1879:
https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/3:1:9392-DP7G-9?i=429&cc=1908535&personaUrl=%2Fark%3A%2F61903%2F1%3A1%3AK8CX-M4M

On the Pennsylvania passenger lists index on familysearch, it says he's 27, forgeman, from England:
https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/3:1:3QS7-998F-DFJS?cc=2173965&personaUrl=%2Fark%3A%2F61903%2F1%3A1%3AQV9Y-L3D6

Sounds like the right one. But I can't find him in any subsequent censuses.

The last England census I have for him is 1871 and he was working at an iron works so this ties in.
