Hello,

Elizabeth COX, the wife of Samuel COX of Wool (born 1841), died between 1872 and 1877.   I cannot find any reference to her death in Dorset in the usual Indexes.

Is someone able to help please?

How have you pinned down 1872 - 1877 ?

Where was she living when you last have her?

Did she have a son Samuel only there is a death in 1878 Dorset (maybe you have already ruled this one out)

She returned to UK with soldier husband in 1872 (discharged 1874) and husband re-married as a Widower in October 1877.......he re-married in Dorset and assume they returned to his family there after his army service.

There were two children Eliza Clarence (born 1861) and Joseph Edward (1864)

I see thanks for the extra info.

Maybe he moved back to Dorset after he was widowed.  If she was from Essex could be she died there.
