"Killed in Africa fighting with the british"- Death Records

Hi,
I have just made contact with a relative of mine, whose mother is my grandfather's half-sister, i.e. our common ancestor is my great grandmother. My grandfather also had a brother, named Leo, his birth records are as follows:

The person who I have made contact with has said that the brother (Leo) was "Killed in Africa fighting with the British." He was born in 1921, So I imagine his death probably occurred between 1939-1961(purely based on the conscription age). I was just posting on here because I cannot find any relevant records and wanted to know if anyone knew about any military action that went on in Africa during this time/ where I could find death records for it. The dates line up with WW2, so perhaps it was something linked with that, but I am not sure.

I don’t see one.

The phrase “fighting with the British” suggests he was living in another country and with their forces?? Maybe?

Added...do you have him in 1939?
