If anyone can date this photo I would be extremely grateful.

Quite difficult as he's in uniform however the general style is 1870's.

Do You have any idea what the uniform is? I believe this gentleman worked for the Bombay & Baroda Railway as a Sub Conductor. Having put that information in I may be sending people off on the wrong track.

Most military photos are in dress uniform which gives a better idea. This man appears to be in normal daywear. I would put it on the armed forces board & see if anyone can id it.
