Hugh Hughes Stonemason
« on: Thursday 04 April 19 16:59 BST (UK) »
I have hit another brick wall with the Hughes family & hope someone could help, please
I'm looking for the death & possible burial of Hugh Hughes born 1801 Conwy. On the 1841 Census he lived with his wife Maria (born 1808) in Uppergate Street Conwy. Then 1851/61/71 Census they live in Gyffin Village, Caernarvonshire. Maria is a widow on the 1881 Census still living in Gyffin, so the window for Hugh's death is between 1871 & 1881. There is a death for Maria Hughes in 1886 Conwy so this could be Hugh's wife.

Thank you so much Kay  ;D Could I please ask where you found this information as I have other members of the family who could possibly be buried in Gyffin.

I find it easiest to use their A-Z of Record Sets page https://search.findmypast.com/historical-records  and type Caernarvonshire in the search box

Good Luck Kay
