Hi Emma
I did an ancestry search putting william  needle as surname for him and mother and smith for father

I found the baptism certificate .looks to me like .Needle is Mary.s surname

Have you seen his burial record for 8th july 1836
It states  ' by authority of coroner warrant '
What does that mean ?

Is he the 20yr old ag lab living inBloxham with willm Clifton ?
Sarah Clifton age 19 could be his sister

Thank you very much for getting back to me. If his mother is Mary Needle, I wonder if she was new to the village as I can find no other Needles baptised around the time of William or around when his mother might have been born, she could be from another parish. There Was a Thomas and Mary Smith having children around the time William was born and I wondered if Thomas might have died and then Mary Smith had an affair or something with a man named Needle and then Had William Smith or Needle but that is a massive guess.
Maybe Mary married a William Clifton, I will look for a Needle/Clifton marriage that ties in with the birth of  Sarah Clifton. If this is the case William moved back from Bloxham to Bletchingdon to have his family.
I have contacted Oxford History Society to see if they have the Coroners Court report regarding William, I noticed this too and it might be that he died suspiciously. They have not got back to me yet but I am intrigued!

Best wishes,
Emma

....

It simply means that it was a coroner who gave permission for the body to be buried.
