Cork City Trial 1842
« on: Wednesday 17 April 19 06:25 BST (UK) »
A Convict, Timothy Sweeney was transported here to Tasmania in 1842 after being tried and sentenced on 25th February, 1842 at Cork City.  Sentenced to 7 years for robbery of Lead/Slate somewhere in Cork, he was sent to Tasmania, Australia.  He was assigned to someone in Fingal, Tasmania near Launceston.  Nothing more known of him after being given a Ticket of Leave in 1846.
His convict record states he was born 1797 Cork, Ireland.

Would sks have any information of his trial in Ireland, any newspaper articles mentioning him or his relatives.  Would like to know his parents names, siblings if possible.
Regards
